Pastor Broomer

Pastor B. Ivan Broomer has been in the ministry for over 26 years. He is married to Iris Moore Broomer and has one son, and three daughters. His wife, First Lady Iris, is deeply committed to the ministry and together they form a powerful team. Pastor Broomer has degrees in Theology and Family Counseling.

Pastor Broomer was interim pastor at Emmanuel Church of God in Christ for one and a half years and in December 2003, he was installed as pastor of Mt. Calvary Temple Church of God in Christ. In one year the membership increased from 8 members to over 100 members, and through the leading of the Lord the name of the church became Greater Mt. Calvary Temple Church of God in Christ. The Lord showed Pastor Broomer that he would do "greater works."

Pastor Broomer was born and raised in Mt. Calvary Temple Church of God in Christ, Wilmington, Delaware. His parents always stressed the necessity of having a right and everlasting relationship with Christ. Pastor Broomer has been obedient and faithful to the Lord’s Word and Will.

Pastor Broomer is the founder of "Stronghold Ministries". He believes that it is the believer’s responsibility to boldly proclaim the gospel in the uttermost parts of the earth including those areas deemed undesirable. Pastor Broomer’s goal is to win souls, to disciple them and equipped them with the word of God. He has made Greater Mt. Calvary Temple a community church addressing the needs of the neighborhood’s young people and keeping families together by having weekly counseling sessions. Pastor Broomer has been blessed to bless others.
